How Batana Oil Is Made

The Batana process requires several steps.

First you have to abstract the seed from the middle of the Batana.

Once you have obtained the fruit you go and wash it, then you move on to the heating and cooking part of this process, by boiling the fruit for about one hour.

Now that the fruit is cooked, you start mashing it up with cultural equipment until the seed is revealed. This is where we will obtain the Batana.

The next step is to place the seeds in the sun for 15 days drying. You leave the seed in the sun for 15 days so that it can absorb the sun rays as much as possible, this process gives life to the Batana oil. Once those 15 days have passed, using something strong, whether it's a rock or a hammer, you start to break the seed up.

Once you have broken the Batana, and have obtained the little soft fruit from inside the seed, you start cooking it for about 2 hours. After 2 hours the batana oil should start to come out from the seed, this is where you would use a container to put the oil into. Once the oil dries up then we have “Batana”.

Important note: You can not smash up or cook a lot of Batana seeds at the same time, you would lose a lot of oil if you try to make it in abundance.

Lastly, this is one of the most effective ways you can get 100% pure Batana oil.
